Hare Krishna, dear readers & listeners
Please accept my humble obeisances,
All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
All glories to Sri Guru & Gouranga!
Sravanam Diaries is a podcast produced by yours truly, Sulalita Devi Dasi, under the initiative and support of my husband Yasodajivan Das.
I was born in Krishna consciousness movement back in 90s, and my husband joined ISKCON back in 90s. Both of us are second-initiated aspiring Vaisnavas, myself a servant of His Holiness Bhakti Bhringa Govinda Swami Maharaja, and my husband of His Holiness Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaja. Presently we are based in Sridham Mayapur, India.
We believe in the power and divine potency that is present in the books of His Divine Grace. We have been ordered by Srila Prabhupada to carefully study His transcendental literature and widely distribute it.
This podcast is our humble offering to our respected Guru Maharajas & our beloved His Divine Grace Srila Abhay Caranaravinda Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.
We invite each and everyone to join our reading journey, listen, read, take inspiration, glorify these transcendental books, tuį¹£yanti ca ramanti ca. We wish that you start truly living a spiritual life, uplifting yourself, developing your relationship with Lord Krishna, God, Supreme Lord.

Whenever they are asked to hear a recitation of Vedic literature, they refuse, saying, āWhat business do we have reading or hearing transcendental literatures? They are meant for neophytes.ā They pose themselves as too elevated to exert energy for reading, writing and hearing. However, pure devotees under the guidance of ÅrÄ«la RÅ«pa GosvÄmÄ« reject this sahajiyÄ philosophy. It is certainly not good to write literature for money or reputation, but to write books and publish them for the enlightenment of the general populace is real service to the Lord. That was ÅrÄ«la BhaktisiddhÄnta SarasvatÄ«ās opinion, and he specifically told his disciples to write books. He actually preferred to publish books rather than establish temples. Temple construction is meant for the general populace and neophyte devotees, but the business of advanced and empowered devotees is to write books, publish them and distribute them widely. According to BhaktisiddhÄnta SarasvatÄ« į¹¬hÄkura, distributing literature is like playing on a great mį¹daį¹ ga. Consequently we always request members of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness to publish as many books as possible and distribute them widely throughout the world. By thus following in the footsteps of ÅrÄ«la RÅ«pa GosvÄmÄ«, one can become a rÅ«pÄnuga devotee.
